Official introduction

The only official world governing body of Football Skating

Federation International Football Skating (FIFS) is the only official world governing body dedicated to the global development and regulation of Football Skating, Ice Football Skating, FUTINS, RollerSoccer, and Freestyle Football Skating.

Working across five continents, FIFS leads the structured growth of the sport through international events, national federations, national clubs, school pathways, grassroots development, and official systems for education, coaching, refereeing, recognition, and licensing.

FIFS is committed to building a strong and sustainable future for the sport by developing Football Skating from the earliest ages through Under 10, Under 14, Under 17, and 17+ categories, while expanding opportunities for athletes, clubs, schools, and federations around the world.

At the heart of FIFS is a clear philosophy of real equality and inclusion. Football Skating is one of the few sports where girls and boys can compete together in the same team, reflecting the federation's commitment to a truly modern and inclusive sporting culture.

History of Football Skating

A Sport with Deep Historical Roots

Football Skating is not a new sport. Its documented history goes back at least to January 1882 in England, where early newspaper records and historical materials confirm that the sport was already being played and organized at that time.

While the origins of the sport may go back even earlier, the currently available documented evidence gives Football Skating a strong and meaningful historical foundation, proving that it is a sport with real heritage, not a modern invention.

Today, Football Skating continues its journey in a new era through structured international development across FUTINS, RollerSoccer, Ice Football Skating, and Freestyle Football Skating, while FIFS works toward a stronger global future for the sport through its long-term vision for 2030 and 2035.
