The concept of the Schools Football Skating World Cup was strengthened by the successful organization of the 1st Junior Football Skating World Cup in Türkiye in 2024.

The junior competition demonstrated that younger athletes could successfully participate in a professionally structured international Football Skating event under official technical, educational, and competition standards.

The performance of the junior teams, the quality of the competition, and the strong response from participating countries confirmed that Football Skating has significant potential within the school-age category.

The 2024 Junior World Cup therefore became an important international test and development milestone for the future establishment of a dedicated Schools World Cup.

To prepare schools internationally between 2026 and 2028 and bring qualified school teams together for the first Schools Football Skating World Cup in 2028.

Global Schools Development Program: 2026-2028

Between 2026 and 2028, FIFS and its strategic operational partner, IPTC - International Professional Training Certification, will work with schools, educational institutions, national structures, and local partners across different countries to develop Football Skating at school level.

The international development program will focus on:

Applications may be submitted through FIFS or through IPTC within the framework authorized by the federation.

The application and evaluation process may include a review of:

Upon approval by FIFS, IPTC will issue the official School Affiliation License and Certificate in accordance with the federation’s authorized affiliation and licensing system.

The affiliated school will be entitled to display its official affiliation certificate within the school and communicate its recognized relationship with FIFS in accordance with approved branding and communication guidelines.

The affiliation confirms that the school has entered the official international development pathway of Football Skating and enables the school to begin structured activities under the technical direction of FIFS and the educational and operational support system of IPTC.

Introducing Football Skating as an Official School Sport

Following affiliation, schools can begin introducing Football Skating into their internal sports and physical-education environment.

Depending on the school’s facilities, student population, and development plan, the program may include:

• beginner Football Skating classes
• student assessment and level classification
• after-school training programs
• physical-education integration
• school clubs and student teams
• internal school competitions
• inter-school leagues
• school festivals and demonstrations
