Introduction

Federation International Football Skating (FIFS) believes that the long-term future of Football Skating must be built through a strong and professional school-development system.

For this reason, FIFS has been working for years to support the introduction and expansion of Football Skating across different school-age levels, starting from the earliest stages of childhood and continuing through structured youth development pathways.

The federation believes that Football Skating should not begin only at the club or elite level. It should begin from the foundations of childhood development — from kindergarten and primary school — and continue through well-organized educational and sporting stages that help young athletes grow with proper technique, discipline, confidence, creativity, and international opportunity.

A Structured Youth Pathway

Football Skating already recognizes four important age categories within its wider development structure:

• Under 10
• Under 14
• Under 17
• 17+

This age structure makes school-based development not only relevant, but essential.

If the sport is to grow in a professional and sustainable way, young players must be introduced to it early, trained correctly, and given access to structured pathways that connect schools, clubs, national development systems, and international opportunities.

For FIFS, schools are not a secondary area of activity. They are one of the most important foundations for the future of the sport.

A Global Vision for School-Based Football Skating

Under the vision and initiative of Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour, President of FIFS, the federation has placed special importance on the global development of Football Skating within schools and educational environments.

This vision includes the long-term objective of establishing an official international school competition structure under the authority of FIFS, with the aim of organizing the Schools Open Football Skating World Cup 2028 as a major global platform for school-based participation.

This project reflects a broader strategic belief: that schools should not only introduce the sport, but also become active partners in shaping its future.

By developing Football Skating in schools, the federation aims to create a stronger international base of young athletes, future national team players, trained educators, school sport leaders, and youth communities connected to the values of movement, teamwork, discipline, inclusion, and international friendship.

Cooperation with Schools, Federations and National Representatives

FIFS is actively interested in working with schools, school groups, national representatives, clubs, federations, coaches, referees, and educational stakeholders to help bring Football Skating into school systems in different countries.

The federation strongly welcomes all serious efforts to develop the sport within schools and believes that successful school-based development can play a major role in the future international expansion of Football Skating.

Through cooperation with official representatives in different countries, FIFS aims to support the growth of school-level programs that are aligned with the wider international standards, educational pathways, and development goals of the federation.

Official Affiliation for Schools

Schools that wish to officially introduce Football Skating as one of their recognized school sports may apply to FIFS for official affiliation.

Approved schools may receive official affiliation certification from the federation and become recognized school entities working under the wider international framework of FIFS.

This official connection creates a valuable bridge between the school and the global Football Skating system. It gives schools a clearer identity within the sport and provides them with access to future international opportunities, development support, and official recognition.

For school leaders, this also demonstrates that the program is not informal or isolated, but connected to a real international federation structure with long-term vision and professional direction.

Pathway to International Participation

Schools that work seriously within the official Football Skating framework may become part of future international school-based opportunities, including invitations to FIFS school events and the broader pathway toward the Schools Open Football Skating World Cup 2028.
