Federation International Football Skating - FIFS has entered an important new phase of preparation for the 16th Senior Football Skating World Cup 2027 and the Second Junior Football Skating World Cup 2027.
In recent months, Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour, President of Federation International Football Skating - FIFS, together with the federation's strategic and organizational team, has been communicating with government representatives, sports authorities, organizations and potential partners in several countries interested in hosting the 2027 World Cup.
Discussions and preliminary meetings have taken place with interested parties connected to Egypt, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and China.
The purpose of these discussions is to evaluate each country's organizational capacity, sporting infrastructure, government support, commercial potential and ability to host the Senior and Junior World Cups within one major international event.
Several Countries Enter Serious Hosting Discussions
During recent months, several countries have progressed from general expressions of interest to more serious and structured discussions concerning the hosting of the 2027 World Cup.
These discussions have been conducted with FIFS and IPTC Organization, the strategic partner of the federation and the principal organization responsible for the international planning, operational coordination and delivery of the Football Skating World Cup 2027.
The meetings have examined a wide range of hosting requirements, including:
- Governmental and institutional support;
- Competition and training venues;
- International accommodation capacity;
- Visa and entry procedures;
- Airport and local transportation;
- Security and medical services;
- Broadcast and media infrastructure;

IPTC Organization has been conducting several parallel meetings during June and July 2026 with representatives and prospective partners from different countries.
Three of the countries currently involved in serious discussions are located within the Gulf Cooperation Council - GCC region.
The growing interest from GCC countries reflects the region's increasing investment in international sport, major events, tourism, entertainment, infrastructure and global sports development.
At the same time, discussions with countries outside the GCC remain active, allowing FIFS and IPTC to compare different hosting models, regional opportunities and international-development benefits before a final decision is made.
No Final Host Country Confirmed
FIFS has not yet officially selected or announced the host country, host city, venue or exact dates of the Football Skating World Cup 2027.
All current meetings and discussions remain part of the official evaluation and negotiation process.
No country, organization, company or individual may present itself as the official host or Host Partner until the complete process has been concluded and formal approval has been issued.
The final selection will depend on several factors, including:
- Compliance with FIFS hosting standards;
- Acceptance of the required organizational structure;
- Financial and operational capability;
- Government and institutional commitment;
- Venue and infrastructure readiness;
- International access and hospitality capacity;
- Technical and competition requirements;

Hosting Approval and Official Licensing
Once a suitable host has been selected, the proposed hosting structure will be submitted for final approval through the official FIFS process.
Under the approved World Cup organizational framework, IPTC Organization will coordinate the evaluation, contractual, certification, licensing and operational procedures under the authority of FIFS.
Following completion of these procedures, the approved local organization may be officially recognized and announced as the Host Partner of the Football Skating World Cup 2027.
The official Hosting Licence will confirm the host's authority to participate in the organization and delivery of the event within the limits of the final written agreement and the FIFS-IPTC governance structure.
Until that process is completed, no preliminary meeting, verbal understanding, proposal, venue discussion or expression of interest creates official hosting rights.
A Target of 32 to 48 Participating Countries
FIFS is planning the 2027 World Cup on a significantly larger international scale than previous editions.
The current participation target is:
- Minimum: 32 countries
- Maximum: 48 countries
The final number of participating countries will depend on the approved competition format, host-country capacity, venue schedule, accommodation availability, qualification process and operational planning.
The World Cup programme is expected to include both:
- The 16th Senior Football Skating World Cup;
- The Second Junior Football Skating World Cup.
The Senior and Junior competitions will form the core of a wider international programme that may also include the FIFS World Congress, technical education, referee and coach programmes, international exhibitions, opening and closing ceremonies, awards, media activities and official cultural and entertainment programmes.
Building on the Success of Trabzon 2024
The 2027 World Cup will build upon the experience of the 2024 edition held in Trabzon, Türkiye.
Trabzon 2024 brought together 24 participating countries and became the largest Football Skating event recorded in the sport's history to that date.
It also included the successful launch of the First Junior Football Skating World Cup, confirming the international potential of under-17 competition and establishing the foundation for the second Junior edition in 2027.
FIFS now intends to expand this model into a larger, more comprehensive and internationally significant event.
The planned participation of up to 48 countries would represent a major increase in scale and would require extensive coordination between FIFS, IPTC Organization, the future Host Partner, national federations and international service providers.
A Major Event for the Global Skating Community
The Football Skating World Cup 2027 is being developed not only as a major event for Football Skating, but also as a potentially significant international event within the wider skating community.
The combined Senior and Junior structure, multinational participation, international Congress, technical programmes, exhibition opportunities and media strategy are expected to create a broad platform for sporting, institutional and commercial development.

IPTC Organization serves as the strategic organizer and principal operational organization for the Football Skating World Cup 2027 under the authority of FIFS.

- Event-production strategy;
