VENUES & MATCH ENVIRONMENT

Football Skating World Cup 2027

Federation International Football Skating - FIFS

The official competition and training venues for the Football Skating World Cup 2027 must satisfy the technical, safety, operational, broadcasting and hospitality standards established by Federation International Football Skating - FIFS.

All proposed venues shall be inspected and approved by FIFS before being confirmed as official World Cup facilities.

Official Competition Court

The standard Football Skating World Cup competition court shall measure:

20 metres × 40 metres

The official playing area must be surrounded on all sides by a continuous wall approximately 1 metre in height.

• The surrounding wall may consist of electronic or LED wall systems;
• Professional prefabricated sport walls;
• Event-specific modular walls;
• Permanently installed approved sport barriers;
• Another system formally approved by FIFS.
• Remain stable throughout the match;
• Have no sharp edges, dangerous gaps or exposed hardware;
• Be capable of absorbing or reducing the force of player impact;
• Avoid creating an unreasonable risk of injury;
• Permit safe continuation of play;
• Be inspected before the competition and whenever required by FIFS.

Protective Netting

The competition court must be surrounded or covered by suitable protective netting to prevent the ball from leaving the official playing environment.

• Protect spectators, officials, media personnel and equipment;
• Prevent unnecessary match interruption;
• Avoid interfering with play;
• Be installed at an appropriate height and distance;
• Remain secure throughout the event;
• Comply with venue safety requirements.

Indoor and Outdoor Venue Conditions

The preferred World Cup competition environment is an indoor or properly covered sports venue.

Indoor venues are mandatory where seasonal heat, humidity, rain, wind or other environmental factors could affect athlete safety, playing-surface quality, match continuity, broadcasting, spectator comfort or technical equipment.

Outdoor venues may be approved during seasons with suitable and stable weather conditions, subject to full technical and safety approval by FIFS.

• The playing surface remains safe and consistent;
• Lighting is sufficient;
• Wind and weather do not interfere with the match;
• Protective walls and netting are fully installed;
• Medical, security and broadcasting requirements are satisfied;
• A contingency plan exists for weather disruption.

Playing Surface

The playing surface must be smooth, level, clean and suitable for professional Football Skating competition.

• Safe and predictable skating conditions;
• Adequate grip without excessive friction;
• No dangerous cracks, holes, joints or surface changes;
• Proper drainage where the venue is outdoors;
• Clear and durable court markings;
• Sufficient operational and safety space outside the protected playing area.

Court Markings and Match Layout

The official court must include all markings required under the applicable FIFS FUTINS Laws of the Game.

• Boundary structure formed by the surrounding walls;
• Halfway line;
• Centre mark and centre area where applicable;
• Goal areas and penalty-related markings;
• Team bench areas and technical zones;
• Substitution areas;
• Referee and official operational positions;
• Score Table location.

Team Benches

Separate and clearly identified benches for both teams are mandatory.

• Be positioned in approved technical areas;
• Provide sufficient seating for accredited athletes and Team Officials;
• Remain safely separated from the playing court;
• Permit controlled substitutions;
• Be protected from unauthorized public access;
• Provide clear visibility of the match;
• Display official team or country identification where required.

Referee and Score Table

The official referee and Score Table must be located opposite the halfway line in a position that provides clear visibility of the full playing court.

• Table Referee;
• Match timekeeper;
• Scorekeeper;
• Match Commissioner where assigned;
• Authorized technical or competition official;
• Official timing and scoring equipment;
• Match documents and Score Sheets;
• Approved radio communication equipment.

Scoreboard and LED Display Systems

Every official World Cup match venue must provide a professional electronic scoreboard.

• Team or country names;
• Match score;
• Official match time;
• Match period;
• Penalties;
• Team Fouls;
• Match status;
• Other approved competition information.

One or more LED screens or large digital display systems must also be available for official World Cup teasers, match presentation, team introductions, authorized replays, sponsor and partner content, competition information, safety announcements, Opening and Closing Ceremony content and official promotional videos.

Official Match Ball

The official match ball shall be the Football Skating Ball - Size 5.5.

Official World Cup match balls shall be supplied or formally approved by Federation International Football Skating - FIFS and IPTC Organization.

No alternative ball may be used in an official match without written technical approval.

Officials, VIP and VVIP Facilities

The venue must have sufficient capacity and appropriate facilities to host FIFS officials, host-country officials, government representatives, national federation presidents, international sport leaders, VIP and VVIP guests, sponsors, official partners and invited institutional representatives.

• Suitable seating with clear court visibility;
• Controlled and secure access;
• Reception and protocol support;
• Appropriate signage;
• Hospitality services where approved;
• Managed access to official meeting areas;
• Separation from public spectator areas where necessary.

Referee Facilities

The venue must provide a private and secure referee room exclusively for match officials.

• Changing facilities;
• Lockable storage;
• Seating and preparation space;
• Tables or working surfaces;
• Drinking water;
• Toilets and showers;
• Communication access;
• Controlled entry;
• Safe access to and from the court.

Athlete and Team Changing Facilities

The venue must provide suitable and separate changing facilities for participating teams.

• Team changing rooms;
• Athlete seating and preparation areas;
• Secure storage;
• Toilets;
• Showers;
• Drinking water;
• Basic recovery space;
• Access to medical support;
• Controlled routes between changing rooms and the court.

Training and Warm-Up Facilities

The World Cup venue plan must include suitable facilities for official team training, pre-match warm-up, skating preparation, ball work, physical activation, recovery and technical familiarization with the competition surface.

• Safe and properly maintained;
• Suitable for skating;
• Protected from public interference;
• Accessible according to the official schedule;
• Equipped with basic medical and hydration support;
• Large enough for controlled team preparation.

Toilets, Showers and Sanitary Facilities

The venue must provide sufficient and properly maintained sanitary facilities for athletes, referees, spectators, staff, volunteers and persons with accessibility requirements.

Medical and Emergency Facilities

The venue must include a complete medical and emergency-response system.

• Qualified medical personnel;
• First-aid station;
• Treatment room or designated medical area;
• Ambulance access;
• Emergency evacuation routes;
• Coordination with local hospitals;
• Hydration and ice facilities;
• Incident-reporting systems.

Spectator and Public Areas

The venue must provide safe, organized and clearly separated spectator areas.

• Seating or approved standing areas;
• Clear entrances and exits;
• Crowd-control barriers where required;
• Public information systems;
• Directional signage;
• Accessible viewing positions;
• Emergency routes;
• Controlled separation from the court and team areas.

Media and Broadcasting Facilities

The venue must be capable of supporting professional event production and international media coverage.

• Camera positions;
• Commentary positions;
• Media tribune or designated media seating;
• Mixed Zone;
• Interview locations;
• Press-conference area;
• Internet and technical connectivity;
• Production control facilities;
• Approved access routes;
• Protection of athletes and officials from unauthorized contact.

Lighting, Sound and Technical Production

The venue must provide professional competition lighting, sound, public-address and technical production systems.

• Lighting suitable for competition, photography and broadcasting;
• Public-address and match-presentation audio;
• Emergency announcement capability;
• Stable electrical supply;
• Backup power where required;
• Secure cabling and technical installations.

Final Venue Approval

No venue may be officially announced, branded or promoted as a Football Skating World Cup venue until it has received the required approval from FIFS.

• Technical inspection;
• Safety inspection;
• Test event;
• Surface testing;
• Wall and netting assessment;
• Lighting and broadcast testing;
• Medical and security review;
• Operational corrections;
• Final written confirmation.

FIFS may withdraw or suspend venue approval where the facility no longer satisfies the required technical, safety, operational or event standards.
