Trabzon Hosts the 15th Senior and First Junior Football Skating World Cups

Türkiye welcomed national teams, athletes, referees and international federation representatives for a historic Football Skating World Cup held in Trabzon from 20 to 26 November 2024.

Federation International Football Skating - FIFS successfully concluded the 15th Senior Football Skating World Cup and the historic First Junior Football Skating World Cup in Trabzon, Türkiye.

Held from 20 to 26 November 2024, the international event brought together national teams, athletes, coaches, referees, federation officials and delegates from different regions of the world. The competition programme officially began at Hayri Gür Sports Hall on 21 November, with the final matches and closing programme taking place on 26 November.

A total of 24 countries participated in the World Cup, while representatives from 30 countries attended the FIFS International Congress and related international meetings held alongside the competition.

The Trabzon 2024 edition represented an important milestone in the international development of Football Skating. For the first time, the Senior World Cup and an official Junior World Cup were delivered within one integrated international programme, combining elite competition, youth development, technical cooperation and federation-level dialogue.

A Historic First Junior Football Skating World Cup

One of the defining achievements of Trabzon 2024 was the organization of the First Junior Football Skating World Cup.

The introduction of an official Junior World Cup created a new international pathway for younger athletes and strengthened the connection between national youth-development programmes and future Senior national teams.

The Junior competition also reflected FIFS's long-term commitment to building the next generation of Football Skating athletes, coaches, referees and technical leaders.

By bringing Junior athletes into an international World Cup environment, FIFS established an important foundation for the future growth of the sport across schools, clubs, national federations and youth-development programmes.

The main competition programme was staged at Hayri Gür Sports Hall, one of Trabzon's principal indoor sporting venues.

Participating teams competed under the official rules, technical requirements and competition supervision of FIFS. The event programme included:

The event also provided national representatives with an opportunity to examine future cooperation in national federation development, referee and coach education, Junior and youth programmes, technical standards, future World Cups and international partnerships.

FIFS International Congress Welcomed 30 Countries

Alongside the sporting competition, FIFS organized an International Congress attended by representatives from 30 countries.

The Congress provided an official platform for international dialogue concerning the governance, development and future direction of Football Skating.

Discussions addressed global expansion, national federation participation, international competitions, technical and refereeing standards, coach and athlete education, Junior development, future host countries, partnerships, governance and long-term strategy.

The Congress strengthened communication between FIFS and participating international representatives and supported the planning of future development programmes and competitions.

Leadership and Organization

The Football Skating World Cup 2024 was organized under the leadership of Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour, President of Federation International Football Skating - FIFS and President of the World Cup Organization.

FIFS served as the international governing body responsible for sporting authority, international federation relations, the official competition framework, refereeing and technical supervision.

IPTC Organization acted as the main organizer and operational representative, coordinating the principal organizational, international and event-delivery components of the competition.

The integrated structure brought together the Senior and Junior World Cups, the FIFS International Congress, technical programmes, official ceremonies and international-development meetings within one unified event.
