We would like to inform you about the relocation and postponement of the 15th Football Skating World Cup 2024. Due to various problems in Turkey after the 2023 earthquakes, the country is not ready to host the mentioned World Cup. Therefore, we have made the decision to relocate the event to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The new date for the 15th Football Skating World Cup is 10-16 November 2024. This decision was made after an official meeting held on 29 and 30 December 2023 in Turkey, Istanbul office, between the Federation International Football Skating (FIFS), UAE Sports For All, International Professional Training Certification (IPTC), and UAE Creative HUB Events. During the meeting, it was also decided to organize the first Junior Football Skating World Cup and International Exhibition at the same time as the upcoming World Cup.
November was chosen as the new date for several reasons. Firstly, the weather in UAE during November is excellent for tourism. Additionally, the UAE government needs more time to prepare for hosting such a large and high-quality event. Organizing the Junior World Cup alongside the Senior World Cup also requires sufficient time for planning and coordination. Furthermore, November allows for ample time to secure sponsorships from airlines and other organizations, find sponsors and partners to cover the World Cup cost, arrange accommodations for participants, and organize an international exhibition during the event. Moreover, participants will benefit from free UAE visa costs, and there will be sufficient time for worldwide promotion of the upcoming Football Skating Junior and Senior World Cups. National federations will have enough time to prepare their teams, and countries in the process of registering their Football Skating National Federations will also have sufficient time to complete the registration. Lastly, the UAE national team will have enough time for selection and preparation.
We believe that UAE is a highly professional country capable of organizing the most prestigious events in the world. We have no doubt that the 15th Football Skating World Cup in UAE will be a beautiful and professional tournament.
